Samson cigarettes are the tobacco brand of THEODORUS NIEMEYER B.V., founded a few years later (1819) than LAPHROAIG, and is currently produced by BAT, but still in the Netherlands. The original tobacco blend of Samson cigarettes is a prime example of the Dutch recipe HALFZWARE. But what about tobacco and whiskey? We have already partially answered this question.
You need to evaluate the taste of tobacco smoke and describe the maximum number of associations that you will feel when smoking Samson cigarettes. In the aroma of tobacco smoke of Samson cigarettes, the general line is a viscous haze and a little nutty taste. There is some fruity sweetness, a bread taste (especially in the aroma of a free-smoldering cigarette before inhaling), but the features of this tobacco are the taste of tree bark, quite a bit of tar and the earthy aroma of pu-erh. This is reminiscent of and perfectly echoes the whiskey and opens up well in the lightweight cigarette padding. The aftertaste of tobacco is not straining, gently passes through the throat, if you smoke “in a draw”, but the strength of tobacco is slightly above the average level.
For the sake of truth, we will tell you about tasting the LAPHROAIG whiskey that is consumed with Samson cigarettes. Like tobacco, whiskey has a multifaceted taste. In the aroma of cork and drink, you can hear a combination of different tones, reminiscent of those very clinics from childhood (the first half of the 1990s), when the smells of medicines, syrups, alcohol (iodine!) and rubber hover in the corridor. There is a slight smoking haze in the aroma. In taste, there is a completely different picture. Thanks to the unique technology and conditions of the island, whiskey acquires a peat taste – akin to the taste of railway sleepers (creosote).
And now please pay attention – IN THE TASTE OF WHISKEY THERE IS THE AROMA OF TOBACCO. This is the highlight of the drink! Slightly oxidized, the phenolic taste gently flows into a fruity sweetness. The taste looks rich and acquires the appropriate status. Whiskey perfectly accompanies a pleasant conversation and flows beautifully along the walls of the glass.
